Leadership Team

Mrs. Loomes

Hello to everyone. As Head Teacher of Jesmond Gardens, I am very lucky as I get to meet lots of fantastic children every day! Before I came to Jesmond Gardens in 2004 I lived in Nottingham and was head of another school. I’ve now been at Jesmond Gardens for ten years because I love it so much!

Out of school I play the keyboard and alto saxophone in three bands - but not all at the same time! We play big band music, blues (the band is called Still Misbehavin) and in the Fryup III plus 1 we play jazz! We played in school last year and the children absolutely loved it.  So much so we now play for the Blackout Ball. I live in the North Yorkshire Moors, near Whitby so I like to go walking if I have the time!

Mrs Nicholson

Hello! My name is Mrs. Nicholson and I have taught in the school for some years now- 14 to be exact! I think my job is the best in the world because I get to work with fabulous children and hopefully make a difference to their lives.

I am a Mum and have two boys called Joe and Charlie. As a family, we like dancing around the kitchen, having BBQs and going out for tea. We are all very sociable people and love to have fun!

Mrs Stuart

Hello I'm Mrs Stuart and I've been teaching at Jesmond Gardens for too many years to admit to.  I have previously taught in all year groups.  I am now the keystage 1 leader and I am looking forward to teaching our gorgeous children.

At home I have three beautiful girls of my own who take up lots of my spare time but when I do have a spare minute to myself I love to read and shop.

Mrs Vos

Hello everyone, I am very excited about coming to teach at your wonderful school.  I have been teaching a long time and have taught children of all ages, right from Reception to Year 6.  I  love learning  and understand that we all learn in different ways.  I also know that learning can be and should be fun!  I hope we will all learn together to be the best we can be.  All we need to do is try.  I love art, history and literacy but my favourite thing to do at school is to work in groups.  We can all help and learn from each other.

I come from a very big family and we make a lot of noise when we are all together! I live with my husband and son.  We have a little dog called Bobby.  He can't come to school like Lucy can as his favourite things in the world are socks and slippers - he would cause chaos at Jesmond Gardens!

Mrs Bostock

Hello, my name is Mrs Bostock and I am Early Years Leader. I have taught KS1 and Early Years in schools in Hartlepool. I have a real passion for Early Years as I really enjoy being creative and love to watch the children develop their independence to become ready for school.
I love to spend time outside of school with my husband and little boy, Seb. We like to go for walks and feed the ducks. I enjoy spending any spare time I have left reading.

Miss Perry

Hi, my name is Miss Perry and I teach in the year 5/6 unit and I am looking forward to the challenges I will be faced with here. In the classroom I especially enjoy numeracy. I like everything neat and tidy - so no mess please!

In my spare time I love to travel and experience new things - especially different foods! I am from Northern Ireland, so when I get a chance it is also nice to get a “wee trip home”.

Miss Quin

Hi everyone! My name is Miss Quin. I have been working at Jesmond Gardens since April in the Y5/6 unit. I have been teaching for a long time and have been lucky enough to work with children in most year groups, although i have spent most of my career in Y5 and Y6. I am really looking forward to getting to know everyone and spending time in this lovely school.

When i am not in school, i enjoy spending time with my family. I also love walking, reading, swimming and skiing.
